11. MP3 Encoding: Lame
In this test, we encode a 178 MB WAV file in MP3 format using the MP3 encoder Lame. We measure the time the processor requires for the encoding procedure.


Naturally, the device with the higher clock speed is a nose ahead in running this CPU-intensive application.
