2. System Requirements

Pentium III, Mobile Intel Pentium III, Pentium M, or Celeron 1.2 GHz processor or equivalent AMD processor, 256 MB of memory, CardBus type II slot, Windows XP SP2 or Windows 2000 SP4.

For advanced functions: 512 MB of memory, DirectX 9 and OpenGL 3D compatible graphics card with 32 MB of texture memory, DVD drive. Software: Intervideo WinDVD or CyberLink PowerDVD, 2nd-generation 6X DVD-ROM drive.

A potential drawback is that only more-recent laptops can use the sound card, especially if you want to use all the Notebook's possibilities. An updated version of Windows XP, complete with SP2, is also required.

The Audigy 2 ZS Notebook has two operating modes: Standard, in which certain functions are not available, and High Performance, which requires a more powerful machine. The table below shows the functions available in each mode.

The Notebook can work in two modes, depending on your laptop's capabilities.


The software can analyze your computer and recommend the mode you should use.

The choice of modes and access to the performance test are in the System Tray.
