6. Benchmarks Under Windows XP
Not being ones to break with tradition, we used a combination of synthetic and real benchmarks for this test.

We measured battery run-down time in three different scenarios in order to simulate typical user behavior:
Presentation (playing a presentation in a loop); DVD video playback (DVD playback in a loop); Gaming (game demo in an endless loop).We also ran the synthetic battery benchmark MobileMark2002. In all the battery benchmarks, we set the display brightness to 100 candelas per square meter.
