TRENDnet Releases New Mobile Wireless-N Router
This new router is compatible with Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon 3G/3.5G networks.
Consumers looking to purchase a mobile wireless router may want to check out TRENDnet's new TEW-655BR3G, a compact 150 Mbps Wireless-N router that's compatible with USB modems provided by Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon. The router was originally spotted during CES 2010 back in January, and at the time, the company projected its initial release date for early April.
The company said Monday in a press release that--when in constant use--the mobile router provides up to 2.5 hours of 3G/3.5G connectivity thanks to its lithium ion battery, 4 hours while in idle mode. However consumers on the go can also option to purchase TRENDnet's compatible car adapter (TA-CC), sold separately.
"This compact router connects to the Internet from any 3G/3.5G cellular phone signal," the company said. "No installation is required; simply plug the 3G/3.5G modem into the router to share an Internet connection with up six times the speed and three times the coverage of a Wireless-G solution."
Set for a pricetag of $99.00, the TEW-655BR3G isn't available as of this writing, however it's expected to be available from "online and retail partners shortly."

That's pretty nifty. Will deff. be useful for my company where we have docs going to remote clinics and need to connect more than one PC to the vpn. I bet the cell companies won't be happy about it though. (unless they charge per kb/mb)
Sooooo... better 3G coverage basically?
not really, its just letting you more easily. The N speed advertising is laughable as your wireless modem connect speed is probably about a hundred times slower than the router is. That speed would only come into play in intranetwork traffic.
had bad luck with TrendNET products in the past. does not work as advertised.
