Asustek Preps Launch Of Ultimate And Pro Fashion Eee PCs, Prices To Hit $700 Or More
Asustek Computer plans to launch more Eee PCs designed to address different market segments, according to company president Jerry Shen.Shen said he anticipates the netbook and Mobile Internet Device (MID) markets will offer substantial business potential in the future generating demand as high as one billion units based on forecasts by Intel.

I thought the whole selling point of the Eee was its size and price?
It is the point. Even with these more expensive Eee's there is little to nothing on the market with similar price, size, and battery life. Sure you can get a standard size notebook for $700 but it's certainly not as portable, size or battery life wise.
