Brooklyn Bedding has launched a new range of luxury cooling mattresses and they could be a game-changer for people dealing with night sweats — here's everything you need to know

Popular bed-in-a-box brand Brooklyn Bedding has quietly dropped a new luxury cooling mattress range. The new ThermoBalance mattress range starts from $1,772 at Brooklyn Bedding and uses a host of cooling technologies to help people combat overheating while sleeping.

Brooklyn Bedding has form when it comes to cooling mattresses – last year's new release, the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid, impressed us with its effective cooling under $1,000 for a queen.

What is the ThermoBalance Collection and who is it for?

The new ThermoBalance collection introduces two cooling hybrid mattresses: the ThermoBalance and ThermoBalance Elite. The collections name comes from the fact that both mattresses feature temperature-regulating ThermoPhase foam.

According to Dilworth, the collection was created to provide a more premium cooling option within the Brooklyn Bedding lineup, with includes the Aurora Luxe and the CopperFlex collection.

"It targets sleepers who want advanced cooling performance paired with a more luxurious feel and finish," he tells us.

Every ThermoBalance models features three distinct cooling features: a ThermoCool cover, ThermoPhase foam in the quilt layer, and a breathable gusset with a 360-degree airflow design."

He shares that the ThermoPhase foam is infused with Phase Change Material, a cooling fabric proven to dissipate heat and improve thermal comfort more effectively than conventional mattresses.

Layered for comfort

Standing at over 13" tall, ThermoBalance has seven internal layers which includes an 8" coil tier. It's the cheaper entry-level model in the collection and comes in three firmness levels to choose from: Soft, Medium, or Firm.

The more luxurious model is the ThermoBalance Elite, which stands at a towering 15.5" tall. While the ThermoBalance is designed for strong cooling performance, the Elite includes a more advanced design for enhanced lumbar support and breathability. Its nine layers include a 0.75" tier designed for targeted lumbar support.

If you're wondering whether the Elite model is worth the extra dollars, Dilworth says the Elite is best for customers who "prioritize a more luxurious, elevated feel due to upgrades in the coil system as well as the foam densities."

How does ThermoBalance compare to other Brooklyn Bedding collections?

According to Dilworth, the ThermoBalance offers more premium cooling than the cooling Aurora Luxe and the Copperflex collection, as it "sits above both collections in terms of amount of materials and overall feel".

"It is a modest step up from Aurora Luxe and a more significant step up from the CopperFlex collection, which focuses on cooling at a more accessible price point," he shares.

"The introduction of ThermoBalance has not diminished interest in Aurora Luxe. Each serves a distinct customer based on budget and desired features."

While Brooklyn Bedding believes the collection will be a hit among hot sleepers, Dilworth doesn't think the ThermoBalance mattresses will usurp their other cooling beds soon.

"The introduction of the CopperFlex and ThermoBalance has not diminished interest in Aurora Luxe," he shares. "Each serves a distinct customer based on budget and desired features."

Why has the Signature Hybrid and Aurora Luxe been redesigned?

Along with launching ThermoBalance, Brooklyn Bedding has also revamped two of its most popular mattresses: the Signature Hybrid and the Aurora Luxe... and they look much different to the designs we reviewed in our Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe Mattress review and the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress review respectively.

The Signature Hybrid now as an all-navy pillow-top aesthetic, replacing original snow-white Euro-top design, while the Aurora Luxe also has a navy look, complete with a strip of copper-orange pillow-top.

Dilworth says the look reflects the new cooling upgrades available with both mattresses.

"The new look is part of a broader product refresh and includes both aesthetic and internal updates," he explains.

"The builds have been revamped with additional foam layers, adding comfort and value without significantly increasing price."

Like the the cooling features of the ThermoBalance beds, the internal updates of the Signature and Aurora models now include a layer of ThermoPhase foam with Phase Change Material (PCM) in the Cloud Pillow Top upgrade.
