Recently, a colleague let me demo his Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless headphones, and I have to say that their intense bass response left a significant impression. Using them also highlighted that while I appreciate the balanced audio of my current Sonos Ace headphones, they ultimately fail to satisfy my deep craving for bass.
I was also impressed by the deep set of EQ features offered by Sennheiser's SmartControlPlus app, allowing me to tweak sound profiles on the Momentum 4 Wireless to my heart's content — something that the barebones Sonos app doesn't come close to offering.
Sure, the Momentum 4 Wireless isn't quite as refined as my Sonos Ace headphones, but they absolutely crush it when it comes to hip hop and electronic music — two genres I love but rarely listen to on my current cans.
I was (almost literally) blown away by the club-level bass that pumped out of Sennheiser’s headphones, especially while listening bass-heavy tunes like 'Boasty' by Wiley feat. Idris Elba and 'Don't Be Dumb' by Dizzee Rascal feat. Ocean Wisdom. Likewise, the song 'Entwined' by Sub Focus feat. Grimes had me feeling like I was being blasted out of orbit by a thousand spaceships.
Add to this a 60-hour battery life with ANC switched on (lasting twice as long as my Sonos Ace) and it's no wonder Sennheiser's Momentum 4 Wireless holds the number 2 position on our list of the best noise-cancelling headphones in Australia.
Needless to say, I'm very tempted to pick up the Momentum 4 Wireless headphones, especially now that they've been massively discounted on Amazon. Currently, you can nab the new 80th anniversary edition at a gargantuan AU$350.95 discount, bringing them down to just AU$289 — that's 55% off the RRP, which is just exceptional value.
Of course, this edition's distinct graffiti styling won't be everyone's cup of tea, but thankfully, you can still save between 40% and 48% on these cans in some more traditional colour options.
The biggest Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless discount can be found on the new 80th Anniversary Edition, which sports a stylish yellow graffiti design on the earcups and a matching yellow pad on the headband. Was AU$639.95, now just AU$289.

If you're after a less-showy colourway, the Black version of Sennheiser's Momentum 4 Wireless headphones has also been discount, though not quite as heavily. Previously listed at AU$549.95, the Black version is now only AU$329, which is still a huge saving of almost AU$221.

Alternatively, you could opt for a lighter version of the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless headphones by picking up this White version, which is accented by a grey/beige headband and earpads. Now discounted by AU$220.95.

Boasting a slick mocha-coloured finish, the Brown version of Sennheiser's Momentum 4 Wireless headphones is accented by a grey/beige headband cushion and earpads. Like the Black version, the Brown colourway has dropped from AU$549.95 to just AU$329.

If brown's not your thing, you can get the same grey/beige headband cushion and earpads on a more tropical Teal version of the Momentum Wireless 4 headphones, now just AU$302.14 — that's a massive saving of AU$276.86 on the RRP.
