A Bike Commuter's Dream Parking Lot

Here's the biker's oasis in the tiring urban desert

Perfect for two-wheeled warriors: a specialized bike rack that contains all the amenities for the discerning rider. The brainchild of Korean designer "Mr.joona", said parking zone for bicycles concept goes beyond neatly organizing parked bikes.

For starters, integrated pumps provide air to bikers who need to change their tires' air pressure or recover from flats. A panel off to one side provides weather forecasts, helping users avoid getting stuck pedaling in the rain. There's even a bench for resting bikers to sit on.

Like other contemporary design concepts, the parking zone won't tax existing power grids. Solar cells built into the roof draw power from the sun, for the air pumps and other electronics. In other words, the parking zone for bicycles is an upgraded bike rack.

Too bad there's no socket for power-hungry bikers who need to recharge their gadgets. This modern bike rack could also benefit from an integrated internet workstation, and most definitely from a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot as well. Updates to follow if we receive further info on the concept's progression to real-life application.
