11. Gaming Benchmarks
Here are performance results for the Dell XPS M1710 and its Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX graphics processor as compared with the performance of six graphics adapters for PCs. The M1710's Nvidia graphics processor is always listed first with other graphics processors listed in order of performance from high to low. As with our 3DMark05 test results, the Dell and its graphics processor do fairly well against earlier adapters and don't do all that poorly against newer adapters.
Gaming performance tests clearly show that the configuration we received from Dell is on par with an FX-60 based desktop running an Nvidia 7900 GT. That is impressive when you think about the limitations due to cooling and mobile power requirements.
