Quanta Ups Notebook Shipment Goal In 2008
With Quanta Computer having achieved 60% annual growth in both revenues and notebook shipments while setting a new profits record in 2007, the company has set a higher notebook shipment goal for this year from its original 36 million, according to CC Leung, president of the company. The overall demand for notebooks in 2008 is expected to increase by 25%, therefore, Quanta has increased its shipments goal to 40 million, while the company also expects non-notebook product lines to enjoy similar performance, noted Leung.
