Here's a Music Video That Was Shot in Space

Astronaut shows off his vocals in farewell video.

Life aboard the International Space Station over the last five months has been filmed, tweeted, and photographed by Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield. The first Canadian to walk in space took command of the station earlier this year, following his arrival on the space station on December 21, and has been extremely active on social media sites like Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube. He left the space station to return home on Monday, May 13, but before he left, he released a video of himself singing a cover of David Bowie's Space Oddity.

If you didn't love Hadfield before, you will after this. Vocals and guitar by Hadfield (and recorded aboard the ISS) with music recorded here on planet Earth.

On a serious note, the people up there do some pretty interesting things, I have watched some of the content they release on youtube, some of it is very interesting. Kudos to them for doing what they do.

I'm glad that there's a positive reaction to this, rather than "THIS IS MY TAX DOLLARS GOOFING OFF DURR HURR"
It's been a while since america has seemed to care about space travel, although it's as important now as it ever was, and with recent advances in medical, technological and social improvements, more eyes should be turned skyward than ever. Sorry to say that the earth's resources are quickly being used up, and no matter how you look at it, we have all our eggs in one basket. It's a shame the space race fizzled out and turned into the involved countries building stockpiles of nuclear weapons instead of using that manufacturing capabilities for a more meaningful purpose.

@internetlad: I'm waiting for the space age, but sadly is to early and at the time I will probably be dead.
