Owners of wired headsets are too familiar with the problem. In order to better understand the person on the other end, you've just pressed the earpiece somewhat deeper into your ear. But at the next sharp left, inertia flings the cell phone from the dashboard console into the murky recesses of the passenger-seat floor. The connection has probably been lost, and if it hasn't, at the very least the earplug is now dangling somewhere between your ear and your shoulder.

A cell phone with a working Bluetooth interface and matching headset is a Godsend in comparison. Bid adieu to all those wires while driving. Phoning not only becomes a whole lot more comfortable, but is also a lot safer and more roadworthy.

For its second wireless headset, Logitech has adopted Bluetooth. The device weighs 27 grams, is compatible with Bluetooth Standard Version 1.1 and goes by the apt name of the Mobile Bluetooth Headset. The manufacturer claims a maximum call time of seven hours; standby operation, it says, runs for around a month. If the headset isn't required, it can be stored in a snazzy box that looks like an eyeglass case.
