6. DirectX8:UT 2003
The 3D engine of this popular first person shooter is basically a DirectX 7 engine with a few DirectX 8 features added on. We set the graphics processors to their maximum performance levels in order to push them to their limits.

With FSAA disabled, the GeForce FX Go 5650 can outpace the ATi-powered notebooks by a slim margin, also beating the Radeon 9600 clearly. It can't continue this trend against the desktop processors the GeForce FX 5700 Ultra and the ATi Radeon 9600XT, however.

The picture changes when FSAA is activated, favoring the MR9700. Nonetheless, NVIDIA's desktop card still dominates the field in the overall comparison.
