For memory upgrades, the W5F is subject to the same kinds of limitations typical of most ultra-portable notebooks. A 512 MB RAM module is soldered to the motherboard, and only one SO-DIMM socket is available for additional memory. Those who want to equip these notebooks with more than 1 GB RAM can only insert a single 1 GB module into the available memory socket. After that, the original 512 MB DDR2 module bundled with the notebook is good for collecting dust in a desk drawer somewhere.

The power supply is fairly small, but the power cable that is included with this unit is far too bulky for an ultra-portable-class laptop.

The slider switch makes it easy to deactivate the WLAN module to help prolong battery life.
