Mountain View (CA) - Google accounted for more than 65% of all Internet search requests in November, a new record for the online giant.
According to the latest report from Hitwise, which tracks Internet trends, Google’s market share in the search engine arena was 65.1% in November.
That’s compared to 64.49% from October, and 61.84% during November of last year. Following in typical fashion were Yahoo, far behind at 21.2%, MSN at 7.1%, and Ask.com at 4.6%.
Those numbers are slightly worse for Yahoo and MSN compared to a year ago, but Ask.com’s share actually went up. It has rolled out user-friendly privacy guards, which has struck a chord with some Web surfers.
