11. PCMark05 Benchmarks
Like SYSmark 2004 SE, PCMark05 is all about performance. PCMark05 includes an overall system test suite and also offers test suites that focus on the CPU, memory, graphics and hard disk drives. If any part of a test suite cannot run or fails, a PCMark05 score is not computed for that suite. As with SYSmark 2004 SE, the computer is plugged into an AC socket and its CPU is set to run at top speed.
PCMark scores are scaled to run between 1200 and 5500. Low and high end reference systems are used to scale and compute the low (1200) and high (5500) scores. However, scores less than 1200 and greater than 5500 are possible
Here are the charts showing PCMark05 scores for the Fujitsu Lifebook P1510D and comparable laptops that were tested in the recent past.

PCMark05 Performance Benchmarks Conclusions
The Fujitsu Lifebook P1510D's central processor and memory rank right up there with the best performers in its class. The laptop's 30 GB disk drive with its slower 15 millisecond access time delivers less performance than all of the other computers in its class.
You'll notice that there are no system or graphics benchmark scores for the P1510D. There is no system score because PCMark05 was unable to complete its graphics tests. The laptop has Intel's Graphics Media Accelerator 900 controller, which normally supports PCMark05 graphics tests. However, the tests did not run on the P1510D because of its unusual display resolution of 1024 x 600. PCMark05 was not able to adapt to this resolution and the tests failed. The same thing happened when the tests were run with a virtual screen size of 1024 x 768.
Interestingly, FutureMark's 3DMark05 was able to adapt to the Lifebook's display resolution and ran fine. The 3DMark05 score (222) and frames per second rates (mostly 1 frame per second) were so low that they are worth only passing mention and no separate 3DMark05 section in this review.
