In the true spirit of the original mod, DayZ has been ported over to ArmA III by modding group Zoombies.
Since there hasn't been any word as of late on Dean "Rocket" Hall's standalone version of zombie survival game DayZ (from some perspectives, Hall's original launch window for the game was the end of 2012), modders have taken it upon themselves to bring the mod, originally for Bohemia Interactive's military simulation game ArmA II, to the next level.
Modding group Zoombies have ported DayZ over to ArmA III's beta. Though the graphics have been greatly updated with the new engine, there's still plenty of work to be done, as the mod is still riddled with bugs. However, this isn't a simple port, as Zoombies have added their own flair to the game by updating the woefully annoying-to-use inventory system.
