Try your hand at this totally unrealistic spin on a real-world crisis.
The Deepwater Horizon oil spill (the one BP is blamed for) continues to dominate worldwide headlines. Here's your chance to try out Crisis in the Gulf, an Xbox game that sees you placing specialized submarines to destroy blobs of oil as they try to reach the surface.
Crisis in the Gulf is simply a tower defense game. Ships that shoot high-caliber rounds, torpedoes, and even lasers are at your disposal. Can you stem the tide of the leak, even at the most difficult "Gulf Oil Crisis" level? Find out for the low price of $1 or 80 Microsoft points.

It amazes me that microsoft has allowed this.
Just got an image in my head of someone trying to use high-caliber rounds, torpedoes, and lasers to destroy already-leaked oil of the real-life type. Hey, you never know what people will try these days.
Are there any achievements?
Looks like birds with gas masks.
lol, this just made me laugh
Sounds like everyone but BP has the right solution for the oil leak.
It kinda is BP that should get the blame for that spill - oh besides, of course, poor legislation heavily influenced by lobbyism.. Gee didn't see that coming, slight resemblance to financial crisis we are recovering from..
Gotta say, great mini game though :-)
Looks like birds with gas masks.
Well they sure as hell don't look like boats, but you explained exactly what i was thinking.
Funny concept but looks boring...I would have preferred a game created in CryEngine 3. But I guess that's just me.
BP? more like DP'ed. our gulf got owned.
This is just full of win!
So....we are supposed to torpedo something already destroyed?
"(the one BP is blamed for)" Uh, what? That isn't up for debate. It was BP's fault.
Just when I didn't think these guys could sink to any lower depths....pun intended!
HOOAH!!!
*sighs*
Can you play a detective and find out how it really blew up to make such a convenient disaster for our Commie and Chief. Or ask why it took 70 days for Obama to accept international assistance (was offered on day 3) such as oil skimmers. Or why this regime is dragging it's feet at every turn as far as clean up.
Government tree hugging regulations forces oil companies that far off shore. They would much rather be closer in shallow water, costs less to drill and is much safer.

When you have libtards tree huggers making policy decisions and we don't drill for our own oil, this is what you get. Foreign countries will come in and drill instead. I really think (know) the US government is run by a bunch of liberal idiots.
Hey, regulas, if it weren't for the "tree huggers" out there you would be living in a dump nowadays without fresh air to breath or water to drink!
While there are people like you disrespecting the environment in the name of "economy" we are doomed to see disasters like this one happening over and over again. You are just a bunch of idiots defending something that has been enslaving us for the last couple of centuries.

Fact: The Nazi party were Socialists and liberal environmentalists too.
The National Socialistiche Duetsche Arbeiter Partei (A.K.A The National Socialist German Workers Party), referred to as the Nazi Party had several key party platforms:
Universal Education
Gauranteed Employment
Welfare for the Elderly (Social Security)
Nationalization of Industry
Nationalized Health Care
Abolition of market-based lending
Hitler was:
Anti-smoking
Anti-Capitalist
Pro Gun Control
Pro Euthanasia
Pro Animal Rights
and a vegetarian.
Some memorable Nazi slogans:
"Public need before private greed"
"Everything must be different"
"People's community!"
"We socialize human beings"

Too bad they didn't put this to practice, instead of declaring war against the world...
I love how enviroMENTAL libtards always come out swinging saying they are the only ones who care and know how to manage the resources of Earth in a positive way (save the planet). That is why we laugh at you and call you libtrads, it's because of your elitist stupid mentality.
First, I'm not the only one how cares (hopefully) and second, you were the one that started by attacking the legislation put in place in order to protect the environment.
Without it, how are we supposed to have at least some manner of assurance that the environment will be respected by the industry?
We believe that everyone is good by nature and will protect the environment instead of looking at how big their wallet can become?
Instead of giving so much attention to oil, why not developing alternative power sources? Here in Europe that is happening, and as I believe, it is happening in the US also!

Well they should have gotten that taken care of, with all the tree hugging oversight that was stripped out from bush's term.
