7. Maximum Level: 109 DB SPL

When listening, you immediately notice a strong, dynamic bass that contributes considerably to the good impression received. In fact, in the case of many types of music, you need to turn it down a little in order to get a reasonable balance. The medium-range speaker produces a tone that is one of the best among the multimedia systems on offer. So there is complete satisfaction on this point. Overall, the GMX is a very musical system to be recommended, particularly for the most demanding listeners. The possible sound level is high but - in our opinion - adequate for normal use, even if some others are louder. The bass does not seem to be lacking in any way, even though, compared with a system that can drop lower, it does cut off a little of the extreme bass.

Conclusion

Although these two systems are fairly comparable in design, there are major esthetic differences. That could be deciding factor. Regarding sound capacity, it should be noted that Klipsch has the edge, due to its neutrality and a slightly lower bass capacity. Both speakers, though, are good products for their price range.
