The self-professed “librarian” of a global Internet child abuse ring has been issued with an indeterminate sentence based on a minimum of three years and nine months. Following this period Phillip Thompson will be eligible for parole.
27 year old Thompson’s label of librarian is in reference to the near quarter of a million child abuse images he had on his home computer. Police raided the man’s home in February after an undercover investigation stretching back as far as May 2007 led them to Thompson.
According to the Times, Thompson was forum moderator of an Internet-based child abuse ring that spanned across 33 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Australia and the UK. His position of authority allowed him to copy images to his own computer. His arrest led to the biggest investigation for child pornography that the United Kingdom has ever seen, which has led to a total of 350 suspects worldwide.
Apparently the website Thompson moderated was mainly for posting images of children that weren’t quite illegal. Once individuals posted comments on the photos, members would contact them through more secure channels to share more explicit content.
"He was a senior administrator for a pedophile website and was effectively a librarian for the storing and distribution of indecent images of children," Detective Sergeant Rebecca Driscoll told Reuters.
The discovery of 241,000 images from the culprit’s computer is one of the largest seizures of indecent photos of children in the UK.

Although I agree this man is screwed up, other pedophiles that have a few images shouldn't be jailed. They obviously have a mental disorder, and need help. Be taught to hold those urges back, to avoid it all together. Etc, etc. Pedophiles that hurt children though need to be jailed for a long time, those are the ones that just went to far with their illness and are a hazard to society.
I think you'd disagree if one or some of those few images are of your children...
Shoot all the pedophiles... save the tax payers money for rehabilitating the victimised children, sry if is a little harsh but thats what I think of someone who would violate a child.
Excuse me, sacre, but pedosexuals do not have a mental disorder. I went to a psychologist, was honest with her about being a pedosexual (though a thus-far celibate one since I turned 16), and she said that I did not have a mental illness and based on me, if I was the mean for pedosexuals...... we do not have a 'mental illness'.
The fact is that you can make ANYTHING out to be a 'mental illness': I could even do that with heterosexuality if I really wanted to. We need to start learning that there is nothing wrong with ANY sexuality as long as the person in question ASKS the other person if they can touch their bodies, 'knowing consent' (which is a load of steaming hot monkey poop that a gorilla has come along, ate and then excreted again) or not.
To be blunt, I was 'sexually abused' as a child and absolutely LOVED all but 4 out of the 3,000 or so sexual encounters I had with older children and adults as a child and teenager. But then again, I was raised as an agnostic who turned into an atheist, so I was never brainwashed with that 'sex is bad', 'sex is wrong' BS.
It is simple time to realize that pedosexuals are normal, bring them out into the open, allow children to make their own choices about who they make love with and who they don't (giving them COMPREHENSIVE sex education as I did with my children by the age of 4), and simply leave them alone.
Most of the child rape/murders are ONLY happening because pedosexuals have been driven underground, where their normal sexual impulses degenerate into hatred towards the child they, at one time, loved. Basically, society is creating it OWN worst nightmare, and that needs to stop.
Bring pedosexuality out into the open, today, legalize it and give children the knowledge they need VERY early as I do with children all the time (telling them the TRUTH about how babies are made) and our world might get better for everyone.

They really should all be shot, because they perpetuate themselves with their sexual abuse, making the victim believe that it's normal, sometimes irreversibly. Even the molesters themselves say they can't or won't stop, so what's the point of prison?
Neither the pitchfork lynch mob approach, nor the casual let-it-be approach are correct.
We are talking about relative age of maturity, which even in the Western world varies from 13 to 17.
I believe the best methods of rehabilitation and restriction should be applied to criminal paedophilia offenders. After all, our children's lives are just as much (or more) at risk from dangerous drivers, fatty foods, global warming and the ubiquitous example of adults pursuing pervasive hedonism and materialism such as the raunch-culture lifestyle.
Dont get me wrong, it is foul, and disgusting. A person who takes the picture, hurts the child, or does anything to the child directly, should be punished harshly. A person who looks at the photos, should be punished.
But What makes a human want to have sexual relations with a child? something that isn't even ready for such acts? what makes them so attracted to this body that has no real features a typical male would be attracted too?
This is what I want to know, In some cases, its just because the male wants an easy form of pleasure, and a child is the easiest to "force". This sickens me to hell and back, but for other males that just feel attracted to them, what are they thinking?
What in the hell makes them attracted to a no hip, no leg, no boob very short person?
I don't get whats going on in their minds...
