Gadget Spring Cleaning

- by

2. Audiovox Giant Microfiber Cloth, Rosewill LCD Cleaner

It's spring cleaning time! And that applies not only to your house and garage, but your gadgets, too. Newegg comes to the rescue with 14 cleaning products.

Every geek needs a microfiber cloth hanging around, especially if you want to keep that gorgeous new 3DTV in tip-top condition. Audiovox's SURF302 cloth is washable, removes dust, fingerprints and dirt from whatever display you're cleaning, and big enough (12"x12") to handle the biggest HDTVs and displays. Bigger is indeed better in this case.

While a microfiber cloth can usually take care of most dust problems, sometimes you need a spray or gel cleaner to get all the grime off. Rosewill's 100 mL bottle of Plasma/CD screen cleaner is the perfect companion for the Audiovox microfiber cloth, and will give you the extra cleaning power you need to keep that display as clean as the day you bought it.

You don't need to buy expensive monitor cleaning products. Mix 50/50 rubbing alcohol and distilled water (must be distilled) and put in a small spray bottle and used with any decent microfiber cloth will effectively and safely clean anything.

It's obviously sponsored by Newegg, should belong in Vendor's Voice section.

While this article is sponsored by Newegg, the article itself was researched and written by editors. Newegg did not select the products included in this roundup.
