Huge Breville deal at Amazon — save $150 on the Barista Express, matching last year's Black Friday deal
If you love your coffee, you'll know that Breville makes some of the best espresso machines on the market. And while the brand has released a number of high-tech, $3,000 machines this year, there's one classic that people keep coming back to: the Barista Express.
We raved about last Black Friday's best deal on the Breville Barista Express. In fact, it was so good that our News Editor bought one himself. And now we're officially approaching Black Friday once again, Amazon has already matched last year's $150 discount on the Breville Barista Express, now down to $549. It's an early Black Friday deal you won't want to miss.
This will be my sixth Black Friday, and I've never seen the Barista Express priced this low at $549. Will this $150 discount be available on the big day this year? Most likely. But if it's cheaper than last year's price, I'll eat my hat.
The Barista Express has a built-in grinder, tamper, and bean hopper so you can do everything in one. In our 4.5-star review of the Barista Express, we praised its delicious espresso and its superior performance. If you're a coffee enthusiast, this is the ideal machine to get started.
Why we love it
Why is the Barista Express so iconic? I think it's at least partly based on how it looks. I mean, it's the archetypal espresso machine, with brushed stainless steel (although Black is also on sale at Amazon) and the pressure gauge to allow you to manually monitor your espresso.
It's a really solid machine, though. Especially if you've got the basics down. The grinder is capable, with 16 grind size settings to choose from. And it comes with single-walled and double-walled portafilters in two shot sizes, meaning it can work with a range of beans and create a variety of drinks.
I've used this machine myself for a number of years, and one of my favorite features was its in-built tamper. It's removable, allowing you to tamp on your countertop, but it magnetically reattaches to the left side of the machine, giving you a place to store it so it never gets lost.
It's little touches like that which make this machine a no-brainer buy at $549. I'm not saying it's cheap, but you get a lot of machine for your money.
