Another weekend is here, which means the question of what to watch is on our minds. Luckily, the best streaming services have rolled out plenty of must-watch new movies to enjoy, though only a select few are worth your precious streaming time.
Leading the pack this week is Disney's latest animated sequel "Zootopia 2" on Disney+, a great family-friendly pick. Also worth considering, if you're into the "so bad it's good" kind of watch, is "Now You See Me, Now You Don't" on Starz. It's as ridiculous as the rest of the series, but great for a laugh. Meanwhile, Shudder has a new found footage horror thriller, "Bodycam," that's nothing to write home about but still scratched my itch for pulpy scares. Over on Netflix, you can get your blood pumping with Bob Odenkirk's action thriller "Nobody 2" — it's easy to follow even if you haven't seen the first. Me personally, I'll be tuning into HBO Max's haunting new documentary, "Fukushima: A Nuclear Nightmare," because today's headlines aren't terrifying enough for me, apparently.
So without further ado, let's dive into the best new movies to stream this weekend.

Disney's animated comedy sequel "Zootopia 2" finally hopped onto Disney+ this week, seeing the ever-chipper bunny Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and sly fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) on yet another wild chase after ne'er-do-wells causing havoc in Zootopia. Now officially partners on the force, the unlikely duo struggles to find their rhythm, and their luck goes from bad to worse when they end up on the run for a crime they didn't commit. To clear their names, they're forced to team up with a wacky beaver podcaster, Nibbles Maplestick (Fortune Feimster), and track down a viper (Ke Huy Quan) into the city's secret underworld of reptiles.

'Now You See Me: Now You Don't (Starz)
How someone feels about the "Now You See Me" franchise tells me everything I need to know about their sense of humor. Love it or hate it, these movies go all in on undeniably over-the-top but fun fakery that dazzles with heist-style hijinks and impossible feats of magic. If you had fun with the first two, odds are you'll find "Now You See Me, Now You Don't" a treat now that it's streaming on Starz. The Four Horsemen, ringleader Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), mentalist Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), sleight of hand master Jack Wilder (Dave Franco), and escape artist Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher), are back after being tricked into one last job that introduces them to a new generation of illusionists (Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt).

'Bodycam' (Shudder)
I'm a sucker for a low-budget horror movie, and "Bodycam" absolutely delivers on the pulpy vibes. In a twist you can probably guess from the title, the "found footage" this time around comes courtesy of a pair of cops whose body cams capture a routine domestic disturbance case that goes horrifically awry. The sense of claustrophobia from this framing wears thin by the movie's second act, but it has that same grimy patina of adrenaline-fueled terror and nightmares that hit too close to home that the "Paranormal Activity" series perfected. "Bodycam" doesn't quite stack up to some of my favorites in the genre (shout out to "As Above So Below"), but it did remind me that as long as filmmakers keep making this dish, I'll keep eating it up.

'Nobody 2' (Netflix)
I'm not sure who exactly was demanding a sequel to "Nobody," Bob Odenkirk's solid turn as an action star back in 2021, but I'm here for it. With a lean 90-minute runtime, this action thriller doesn't overstay its welcome and manages just the right dose of gory goodness and crowd-pleasing mayhem. Odenkirk is back as the retired assassin Hutch Mansell, who takes his family on a long-overdue vacation to try and leave his violent past behind. Of course, it's not long before their island time turns into violent time as Hutch clashes with the town’s crooked sheriff (Colin Hanks), who’s secretly working for a ruthless crime boss, Lendina (Sharon Stone). For anyone looking to relive the scrappy fun that made "Nobody" such a hit, this sequel delivers another punchy, high-energy ride.

'Fukushima: A Nuclear Nightmare' (HBO Max)
The "Fallout" series inspired in me a fascination with nuclear disasters, so I already knew HBO Max's new documentary "Fukushima: A Nuclear Nightmare" would top my watchlist. That it's this week surprise #1 movie on the streamer is doing wonders for my confidence as a media critic, especially give how rarely documentaries rise to the top of the charts. If the headlines aren't terrifying you enough, let's take a step back in history to 2011, when Japan was hit with a record-setting earthquake and tsunami that triggered the largest civilian nuclear accident since Chernobyl. This documentary relies on experts and shift workers on the ground to lay out all the dominos leading up to such a catastrophic event, and how, like with Chernobyl, a few brave, quick-thinking folks kept it all from being much, much worse.
