To set up your Noxon system, we recommend that you first check to be sure that Wi-Fi reception won't be a problem. There's no point in adding iffy reception to the list of problems you may run into. Also be sure you've launched server software on at least one of the computers in your network.

At startup, the Noxon has to detect your Wi-Fi network and display its name (SSID) - provided, of course, that you've set up your router to send that information.

The Wi-Fi network is detected by the router, which also indicates that it's encrypted. So you'll have to enter the password.

Then you have to correctly configure security (WEP) to be able to access the network. If all goes well, you'll see the server on your screen.

The server software (MusicMatch in this case) is detected and the name of the PC on which it's running is displayed.

Terratec supplies software called Noxon Manager, which is optional but can help you configure your system, especially if you use several Noxons or if your network is fairly complex.

Noxon Manager detects the Noxon(s) on your network.

Noxon Manager makes configuring the network easier, but using it is optional.
