The Mobile Bluetooth Headset had to prove its workability vis-à-vis the following end devices:
Nokia 6310i; Sony Ericsson T68i; Sony Ericsson T610.
Bare-bones instrumentation but simple operation: Rocker for volume control, MF key and LED
The device, like most headsets, is Spartan. That said, it is very simple to operate. A multifunction key serves as the on/off switch, and is also used to take calls and to initiate the pairing process. Another button controls volume, while an LED indicates the different operating states with various colors that blink at different speeds. Anyone encountering problems with operating the device will find answers in the ten-page, multilingual documentation.
Pairing wasn't a problem with any of the three test candidates, and there were no unpredictable interruptions in the connection between cell phone and headset throughout the two-week test phase. With nearly unobstructed "vision" between the phone and headset, a stable connection was possible at distances of more than 12 meters.
The telephony tests - call acceptance and pickup and language selection - worked without a hitch with the reference devices.
