Sony Gives Three Free Games with Every PSP Go
Sony's US PSP Go deal isn't as awesome as the deal other countries are getting.
Last week, word got out about a deal Sony was offering PSP Go users in the United Kingdom. Anyone who purchased the game after April 1 is entitled to 10 free games with their console. Sony admitted that it was an attempt to boost sales but didn't mention anything about bringing the offer stateside.
Today we learn that the deal is indeed coming to the U.S., though the version we're getting isn't quite as attractive as the one available gamers outside of America. Available to those in Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, the promotional offer includes ten free games with LittleBigPlanet, 2010 FIFA World cup, Gran Turismo and Grand Theft Auto are all among them.
Sony USA announced a similar deal today (via Engadget), but unfortunately for us, we're just getting three free titles. These are LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters and SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3. All great games but they're not ten games, are they?
Sony is also offering select titles for $9.99 each. These can be seen here.
So, is anyone inspired enough by the deal to buy a PSP Go?

Pretty desperate to sell them, huh? Still not interested.
^^^agreed
I suppose they have to sell them somehow...
The PSP 2000 just looks so much better.
I'd buy it if came with three free games for my DS.
As far as I'm concerned, it's the PSP-Go-to-hell. Talk to me when you're offering the same deal as those in Europe and Asia get.
Maybe they're prepping to give way for the PSP 2 and also because the PSP Go was a failure for anyone to buy since so there are so many problems with the PSP Go.
if it was 10 free games id buy it. If they would have let me choose the game then i would have considered it but they bundle these things. Honestly all 3 of those bundled games suck.
Thie is the US, if they gave GTA away, some parent would sue because their child punched a cop and stole their car. Sony knows what they're doing, giving away kiddie garbage here.
Giving them 10 and us 3 is just insulting though.
they should offer all those old games in PSN, is a big failure not doing so~ as you can see there only certain games on PSN
WTF?!?! Most of Sony's business comes from the USA. Sony is shitting on its biggest customer as far as I am concerned. Why do other countries rate better? To me this is a form of discrimination. After hearing this, this is the last time I am buying any Sony product, TVs and all.

Agree
Just proves how big of a bust the PSP Go is. I knew it was DOA when it first came out, and the reviews just confirmed it. The only people who gave it any sort of a positive spin were owners in denial that they had just wasted $250.

and the psp go! goes off to the landfill, yayyy!!
with the greek economy a purchase of a pspgo sounds questionable
If it had been 10 games for us I would buy one.
There are no problems with the PSPGo, the only real problem is people are Mind stuck on 10 year old technology and refuse to go foward into the better world. I hate disc and i cherish the fact i
no longer have to carry them around, all my games are in memmory on my PSPGo and it is awsome. I wish Sony would strike back and completely stop makeing UMD games, that would teach the losers of this world a good lesson.

It's called business. They offer better incentives to areas where they are having more difficulty with sales. Yes it's dirty, but it's business!
I might actually buy one if they offer the same deal the rest of the world got. I like most of those games.
Sony sucks and are terrible i would never touch any of their products. be it the lolstation or their gimped handhelds.
You'll probably find that the UK was being charged a lot more than the USA in the first place, as per usual.
I like downloding games of software (Steam) but I still like to have a place to put the game in (UMD). I am still not interested in this device.
hakesterman, you're missing the point. The PSP Go is not a bad idea at all. Sony just completely messed it up. They should have either (1) created it as a completely new console with upgraded hardware or (2) made it 100% compatible with the existing PSPs by allowing users to transfer their existing UMDs to it. They did neither and ended up with a device that, IMO, appeals to VERY few people. On top of that, the portable gaming market has gotten much more competitive with devices like iPod Touch / iPhone and other mobile devices. From the beginning, most people were saying it was a stupid idea. Obviously, they were right as Sony is desperately trying to move these things.
and the psp go! goes off to the landfill, yayyy!!
right beside the ET game.
landfill, why? is it broken? Not broken and unwanted -> garage sale or eBay. Silly people, don't throw away money!
What about Canada?
right beside the ET game.
and the Virtual Boy.
It looks so cool, but it's actually really annoying and uncomfortable to hold..especially when your trying to use the joystick.
