"Ample comfort whether you sleep on your back, front or side."

In her Tuft & Needle Original mattress review Alison said she felt comfortable in multiple sleep positions, recommending the Original as a good memory foam mattress for most people.

Despite being made from contouring foam, The Original feels firmer than you'd expect. So while lighter weight side sleepers might need more contouring comfort from a softer bed, heavier weight side sleepers, and back and stomach sleepers of all weights, should find it supportive and comfy.

When sleeping on her stomach on the Tuft & Needle Original, Alison said it has enough support to stop back and stomach sleepers sinking too far into the mattress, keeping their spines in healthy alignment.

"As a side sleeper, I found the Tuft & Needle Original provided decent support for my back and hips. This translated into fewer bouts of lower back pain," she adds.

Alison noted that the Tuft & Needle Original Mattress offered a good amount of pressure relief when lying in the side sleeping position. She also said she noticed less back pain after sleeping on this mattress.

More peaceful sleep for couples

"There’s no uncomfortable sinking feeling or obvious shifting, which bodes well for couples, especially anyone with a restless partner."

If you bed share, the Tuft & Needle Original is also a good option.

There's a good amount of motion isolation on offer here, so you're unlikely to be disturbed by your partner's movements in bed.

This is ideal if you bed share, as the foams inside the Original greatly reduce the amount of motion transferring from one side of the bed to the other. This is a feature you'll find on many of the best mattresses for couples.
