If you’ve been a longtime reader of Tom’s Guide, you’ll likely know about UGREEN. The company has manufactured high-quality accessories, charging solutions, and storage products for years, but now it’s trying something new.

UGREEN HomeAgent is a groundbreaking Agentic AI Local Hub unifying local storage, computing, and control into one device. It connects a growing ecosystem of UGREEN AIoT devices, including security cameras, smart speakers, and smart photo frames, as well as third-party devices. With local storage, local computing, and local AI at its core, you can manage home security and control your entire home using natural spoken language. Keeping your family memories and entertainment close at hand, HomeAgent evolves with UGREEN AI Skills to unlock richer autonomous workflows—making your home smarter, safer, and deeply personal.

Understand your home better with HomeAgent

The UGREEN HomeAgent HA100 offers AI keyword search and event summaries for your home security systems, allowing you to ask when a camera has seen your dog and be taken right to key footage of the event. Smart Alerts can trigger for unusual activity, too, like a person in the garden or your pet leaving a designated area around the home. HomeAgent surfaces these more swiftly than you’d be able to do by watching feeds constantly.

It’s not just security moments, either. HomeAgent can proactively capture memorable moments and automatically edit them into videos to treasure forever.

Agentic AI is artificial intelligence that runs following a set of parameters but doesn’t need to be managed on a task-by-task basis. It can find your meetings before the day begins and prepare a handy brief, for example. HomeAgent's goal is to bring that intelligence to your home.

UGREEN HomeAgent HA100, UGREEN HomeAgent HA100 Pro, and UGREEN MasterAgent MA100 devices connect to your home’s security cameras and compatible smart home devices. These local intelligence hubs respond to natural language inputs, such as “turn on the lights” or “open the curtains.” But agentic AI can go even deeper.

If a baby is crying, it will be able to notify a parent with voice notifications, for example. UGREEN’s assistant, Uliya, can respond to questions, too, so you can ask, “Who’s in the lounge right now?”

While the AI boom has increased the popularity of cloud services, they don’t offer the same data protection as local options. Thankfully, local AI is kept within local hubs and run through a local network, so even if your internet connection drops out, you’ll still have access to some features, including file storage, smart home control, and security settings. The core HomeAgent functions operate locally, but some remote-access and notification-related functions still require an internet connection.

Using local AI algorithms, the system can even collect family memories for playback later, and storage is handled via local drives supplied by the user.

UGREEN has big plans for its rollout, including compatibility with Matter-certified devices from third parties.

Thankfully, the HomeAgent and MasterAgent lineup is future-proofed for demanding local AI workloads, with tiered memory and AI performance. The HA100, for example, features 16GB of LPDDR5 memory. The MasterAgent MA100 goes beyond with 128GB of LPDDR5 memory. Both run with UGREEN’s own in-house OS, UGOS Pro.

In fact, the HA100 offers local AI and storage that can be managed using voice commands with 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, while the Pro model has additional power courtesy of 32GB of memory. The MA100 goes even further, offering a cutting-edge NVIDIA® Jetson Thor™ T5000 processor for up to 2,070 TFLOPs of AI performance with 128GB of memory.

UGOS Pro is UGREEN's in-house operating system built on a Linux architecture, offering professional storage management, robust data security, easy backup and sync, and extensive expandability.

UGREEN HomeAgent is powered by the all-new UGOS Pro, combining NAS-grade storage and data management with integrated home security features, smart home capabilities, and voice interaction to deliver a more complete all-in-one experience.

If you're already a UGREEN NAS user, you already know UGOS Pro for its all-in-one experience and ease of use. UGOS Pro combines a built-in data storage and management system, a Smart Home module, and Surveillance Center into one ready-to-use, all-in-one experience—making it a breeze to use.

UGREEN’s product portfolio includes indoor and outdoor cameras with AI recognition, a new smart speaker with voice interaction features, and a wire-free picture frame that can rotate images constantly throughout the day. And because your information is stored locally, there’s no awkward pause while you await a response.

UGREEN’s HomeAgent setup gives us a glimpse into the future of home automation, and it’s certainly an exciting one. You can reserve your HomeAgent with a $50 deposit through November 16, unlocking a Secret Reward Link for the Kickstarter campaign starting November 17.

UGREEN is lowering MSRP by $200 for the HA100 and $600 for the HA100 Pro, while the MA100 MSRP remains unchanged. Reservation customers who complete their purchase will receive one ID500 Pro with the HA100 or HA100 Pro, or four 8TB Digital hard drives with the MA100.
