Nobody's Perfect!
11. Nobody's Perfect!
While it has a lot of positives, the HD-3510 also has some minor issues. The latest BIOS update has taken care of a few of these already, but hasn't solved everything yet. We discovered two bugs while playing a DVD when we couldn't keep our fingers off the remote control. As you can see below, we saw some strange symbols and wondered what they were supposed to mean: fingers off? Oh well, at least they could've saved themselves the trouble of putting an eject button on the infrared remote control because how in the world can you eject a hard disk with the push of a button? (At least it doesn't go very far. After pressing the button again, the drive is closed once more, or that's what the display on the screen says in any case.)
This is one hint as to the origin of the decoder card; the mother here was a DVD player, and the father was an external hard disk box. We can live with these occasional errors, because we feel they will finally be a thing of the past with one of the hopefully soon-to-be-released BIOS versions.

Oops, what could that mean? (Explanation: Function is not available or isn't supported.)

Strange bug: Open and close a hard disk? :)
