China Microchips All Olympic Tickets
Beijing (China) - Don’t even think about disrupting this summer’s Olympic Games because China has instituted some impressive security and anti-counterfeiting measures on event tickets. All 6.8 million tickets have been chipped with the buyer’s addresses along with email addresses and telephone numbers. Tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies at the Beijing National Stadium are even more secure and contain photographs and the passport details of the purchasers.
Olympic officials hope the digital information will prevent counterfeiting and enhance security - something which is probably impossible in the land known for knocking off almost every brand name in existence.
