The Magic Slider's packaging shows a lady effortlessly pushing a bed across the floor. We didn't have a bed handy, but we did have a wood cabinet that weighed 155 pounds. We piled on a Sonos Audio System, eight packages of printer paper and a fifteen pound dumbbell. This brought the total weight of everything to 255 lbs.

A hand cart was used to lift up each corner of the cabinet so we could slide the Magic Sliders underneath. You can see in the following video that pushing the cabinet was doable, but definitely not effortless.

Conclusion

You can see in the video that there was still considerable effort involved to move the cabinet with all the junk we piled on top. Most of the effort was used in overcoming the inertia of 255 lbs. But once everything is in motion, thanks to the laws of physics, much less effort is required.

If you want to make your office or home moves more bearable, give the Magic Sliders a try. We think they work great, and as an added bonus, you can use the Sliders as office hockey pucks, when you are done moving.
