Best budget Garmin: This is the Garmin to get if you're buying a running watch for the first time. It offers a bright screen, easy to read stats, and long battery life. You'll also have access to PacePro suggested workouts, which is like having a running coach on your wrist. Best for beginner runners: The Garmin Forerunner 165 is now available. This sporty mid-range watch is a great training companion with a bright AMOLED display, onboard GPS, advanced heart health monitoring, sleep tracking and tons of tools for training. Want a Garmin for your little ones? The best choice is the Garmin Bounce. This smartwatch tracks activity levels, is swim-friendly and offers up to two days of battery life on a charge. You can also use it to stay in contact with messages and calls and keep an eye on your kid's location. Note: the device requires an active Garmin subscription at $10/month and LTE connectivity.

Garmin’s flagship sports and adventure watch is very expensive, but it offers LTE and satellite connectivity as a key upgrade on the standard Fenix 8. However, the biggest star is the MicroLED display, which is brighter and easier to see from every angle.

Best for golf: In our Garmin Approach S62 review, we said this is the best golf watch an avid player can get. It's got accurate GPS measurements, great virtual caddy analysis and excellent battery life in GPS mode. It's pricy, so if you're a beginner the Garmin Approach S42 may be a better pick.

Garmin Vivosmart 5: $149 @ Amazon
This lightweight, affordable fitness tracker from Garmin packs a more readable display, a physical button for easier navigation and seven-day battery life. Blood oxygen monitoring, and continuous heart rate monitoring are also on show, although there's no built-in GPS. Our Garmin Vivosmart 5 review also praised its lightweight design and option for swappable bands.

In our Garmin Enduro 3 review, we were super impressed by this watch's durability and long battery life. Our unit lasted for an incredible 17 days on a single charge. It's also lightweight and lets you navigate with on-board maps. Although its display isn't as bright as the Garmin Fenix 8, it's excellent value for money.

The Garmin Enduro 2's price has dropped. Like the name suggests, this Garmin watch has endurance — its solar panel means it can last up to 150 hours in GPS mode or up to 46 days in smartwatch mode. You also get access to advanced navigation, sports and fitness tracking apps and a built-in flashlight.

Garmin Epix Gen 2: was $899 now $638 @ Amazon
The Garmin Epix 2 is Garmin’s highest-end model to sport such a high-spec screen, but with the Epix you also get an absurdly long battery life, the ability to track almost every activity, on-board music storage, mobile payments and much more. Our Garmin Epix Gen 2 review said this smartwatch "looks amazing and lasts forever on a charge."

Best for fitness: The Garmin Lily 2 is the latest iteration of Garmin's smartwatch designed for women. It has a 34-millimeter face with a monochromatic touchscreen. It'll keep track of your heart rate, step count, calories burned, pulse ox, stress levels, sleep and more. Unfortunately, there's no built-in GPS, so you'll need to take your phone with you during workouts.
