In our Garmin Forerunner 265 review, we called it "a huge improvement" over the previous model. This iteration of the watch brings a gorgeous AMOLED display with a higher resolution, plus Garmin's Training Readiness Score feature. You also get accurate GPS and lots of advanced training metrics at a glance.

Best budget Garmin: This is the Garmin to get if you're buying a running watch for the first time. It offers a bright screen, easy to read stats, and long battery life. You'll also have access to PacePro suggested workouts, which is like having a running coach on your wrist. Best for beginner runners: The Garmin Forerunner 165 is now available. This sporty mid-range watch is a great training companion with a bright AMOLED display, onboard GPS, advanced heart health monitoring, sleep tracking and tons of tools for training. The Garmin Forerunner 965 packs a bright, beautiful OLED display, accurate heart rate and GPS tracking, and excellent integration with the Garmin Connect app. In our Garmin Forerunner 965 review, we said this is the ideal watch to get if you want a premium training watch with a large screen. However, there's no ECG sensor or support for wireless charging.

Garmin’s flagship sports and adventure watch is very expensive, but it offers LTE and satellite connectivity as a key upgrade on the standard Fenix 8. However, the biggest star is the MicroLED display, which is brighter and easier to see from every angle.

The Garmin Fenix 7 Pro is the ultimate outdoor adventure watch. As well having 37 day battery life with solar charging, a new heart rate sensor, this watch also has a touch screen and a built-in flashlight. In our Garmin Fenix 7 Pro review, we said this watch probably isn't worth upgrading if you already own the Garmin Epix 2 or a Garmin Fenix 7S. But if you own an older Garmin or are buying an adventure watch for the first time, this is a great choice.

Garmin Fenix 7: was $649 now $579 @ Amazon
The Garmin Fenix 7 is a rugged touch-screen watch designed for outdoor activities. This is a large, heavy watch, so this isn't the watch for you if you prefer a sleeker design. But the Garmin Fenix 7 does have plenty of storage, great battery life and water resistance up to 100 meters. Our Garmin Fenix 7 review praised its useful touchscreen and new training modes.

It's not the latest model, but the Garmin Fenix 7X Pro is now on sale for a nice discount. It has a 51mm display and its battery life just keeps going and going thanks to its built-in solar panel. There's also an LED flashlight to help you find your way.

The Garmin Approach S70 is the brand's flagship GPS-enabled smartwatch for golfers. In addition to all the tech found in the S62, the S70 boasts a higher-quality display, more modern looking hole maps with better detail, and a bevy of additional smart and fitness-tracking features.

The Garmin Approach S50 takes most of the excellent features from the more expensive S70 and puts them into a more affordable package. It doesn't skimp on the golf features, though, offering everything you could want to track your rounds and performance on the course.

Best for golf: In our Garmin Approach S62 review, we said this is the best golf watch an avid player can get. It's got accurate GPS measurements, great virtual caddy analysis and excellent battery life in GPS mode. It's pricy, so if you're a beginner the Garmin Approach S42 may be a better pick.

Although it lacks a heart rate monitor, the Garmin Approach S42 is an excellent all-around golfing watch. It has a stylish design, a responsive touch screen and accurate GPS. Plus, it can last for 15 hours of battery life with GPS on or up to 10 days with GPS off.

The Garmin Approach S12 has all the features you could want out of an entry-level golfing watch. It's affordable, has accurate GPS tracking and is pre-loaded with 43,000 courses. The watch lasts for 10 weeks of battery life with GPS off or 30 hours with GPS on. Our Garmin Approach S12 review said this is "good entry-level golf watch with most basic features and solid battery life that lasts several rounds."

Part of Garmin's most hardcore smartwatch line, this Garmin Tactix 8 Solar has seen a much appreciated discount. It's packed with premium features, like leakproof buttons, a built-in mic and speaker, and stealth and night vision modes. Thanks to its solar panel, the Garmin Tactix 8 Solar's battery lasts up to 48 days in sunny conditions.

This budget-friendly entry in the Garmin Instinct series just got even cheaper. This smartwatch has many of the features we like about the Garmin Instinct 3, including the same holistic sensors and sleep/recovery tools. It's made with a lightweight plastic bezel, and battery life lasts up to 16 days.

Garmin Vivosmart 5: $149 @ Amazon
This lightweight, affordable fitness tracker from Garmin packs a more readable display, a physical button for easier navigation and seven-day battery life. Blood oxygen monitoring, and continuous heart rate monitoring are also on show, although there's no built-in GPS. Our Garmin Vivosmart 5 review also praised its lightweight design and option for swappable bands.

The Garmin HRM-Fit took the top spot at the Tom's Guide Fitness Awards 2024 for best innovation. This heart rate monitor can be attached to the strap of a sports bra for a more comfortable fit and more accurate heart rate tracking while you're on the move.

In our Garmin Enduro 3 review, we were super impressed by this watch's durability and long battery life. Our unit lasted for an incredible 17 days on a single charge. It's also lightweight and lets you navigate with on-board maps. Although its display isn't as bright as the Garmin Fenix 8, it's excellent value for money.

The Garmin Enduro 2's price has dropped. Like the name suggests, this Garmin watch has endurance — its solar panel means it can last up to 150 hours in GPS mode or up to 46 days in smartwatch mode. You also get access to advanced navigation, sports and fitness tracking apps and a built-in flashlight.

Garmin Epix Gen 2: was $899 now $635 @ Amazon
The Garmin Epix 2 is Garmin’s highest-end model to sport such a high-spec screen, but with the Epix you also get an absurdly long battery life, the ability to track almost every activity, on-board music storage, mobile payments and much more. Our Garmin Epix Gen 2 review said this smartwatch "looks amazing and lasts forever on a charge."

Best for fitness: The Garmin Lily 2 is the latest iteration of Garmin's smartwatch designed for women. It has a 34-millimeter face with a monochromatic touchscreen. It'll keep track of your heart rate, step count, calories burned, pulse ox, stress levels, sleep and more. Unfortunately, there's no built-in GPS, so you'll need to take your phone with you during workouts.

Upgrade to the Classic edition of the Garmin Lily 2 and you'll get NFC, allowing you to use Garmin Pay to make contactless payments from your watch. The Classic version of this smartwatch also comes with a stylish leather strap that further elevates its good looks.
