Sony, maker of some of the finest TVs, soundbars and headphones on the planet, is already getting in the gifting spirit as we approach the year’s end with some sensational offers when you buy direct from its official store.

That includes up to AU$150 off TVs and up to AU$50 off headphones, cameras, soundbars and many more besides when you sign up for a My Sony membership. Plus, that welcome discount is even stackable, so you can often save a further AU$40 to AU$80 on eligible products using a second coupon code.

What makes buying direct particularly tantalising, however, is the fact Sony is also offering to price match eligible products, making the Sony Store the place to shop if you want to pick up some of 2025’s hottest tech for the lowest possible price.

Ways to save

In the lead up to Black Friday, there are three main ways you can save on the Sony Store:

  • Join My Sony and receive a unique stackable code via email entitling you to up to 10% off your order, capped at AU$150 for TVs and AU$50 for all other products.
  • Use the coupon code HOLIDAYSAVE at checkout to save AU$40 off orders between AU$299 and AU$498, or save AU$80 off orders over AU$499.
  • Request a price match via Sony. All major Australian retailers are accepted, but note that some restrictions and terms and conditions do apply.

Best early Black Friday deals from Sony

Naturally, the Sony Store is brimming with top-notch tech, so figuring out what the best current offers are can perhaps be a bit tricky. If you need some direction, I’ve scoured the store to pinpoint five of my favourite deals below. Of course, if my selections don’t meet your specific needs, you can also visit the Sony Store yourself to browse the full catalogue.

Sony Bravia 9 (75-inch)
Save AU$181
Sony Bravia 9 (75-inch): was AU$5,299 now AU$5,118

The Bravia 9 range are Sony’s most advanced TVs to date, utilising Mini-LED panels and a complex processor and backlighting system to deliver perhaps the most accurate picture currently available in a consumer display – it’s no wonder we rate them as the best Sony TVs in Australia. The best current savings route for the 75-inch Bravia 9 is to combine the My Sony discount (AU$150) and the HOLIDAYSAVE discount (AU$80). Do note a AU$49 postage fee is added at checkout for all TVs, so I’ve included that in the deal price above.

Sony Bravia 8 (65-inch)
Save AU$181
Sony Bravia 8 (65-inch): was AU$4,299 now AU$4,118

If you prefer the truly ink-deep blacks of an OLED TV, the Bravia 8s are mighty fine alternatives to the Bravia 9s above. This 65-inch model delivers a remarkably natural picture when it comes to colour (something Sony is famed for) and it benefits from the Japanese company’s Acoustic Surface Audio+ speaker system, which sees the panel itself being used as a speaker to deliver accurate object-based sound placement, alongside excellent low- and high-frequency volume. The deal price here is achieved by applying both the My Sony discount (AU$150) and the HOLIDAYSAVE discount (AU$80).

Sony Bravia Theatre System 6
Save AU$254
Sony Bravia Theatre System 6: was AU$1,199 now AU$945

Not only does Sony produce some exemplary TVs, but its soundbars make the perfect pairing to liven up home movie nights. The Bravia System 6 is a complete 5.1 speaker package, including rear speakers and a wireless subwoofer. It uses the company’s S Force Pro surround technology to create phantom speakers, enabling it to support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks. To get the deal price here, you can price match with Bing Lee (AU$995) and apply your 10% My Sony discount code (AU$50).

Sony WH-1000XM4
Save AU$128.50
Sony WH-1000XM4: was AU$439 now AU$310.50

The Sony XM4 over-ear noise-cancelling headphones may now be 5 years old, but they can still more than hold their own against many more recent models from rival brands. They’re comfortable to wear over long periods and deliver an engaging, dynamic soundstage. To get the deal price here, I’d recommend price matching with Big W Market (AU$345) and then using the 10% MySony discount (AU$34.50).

Sony PS-LX310BT
Save AU$84.90
Sony PS-LX310BT: was AU$399 now AU$314.10

Keen to jump onboard the vinyl revival? This affordable Sony spinner is an ideal gateway device. Its plug-and-play design means you can be listening to your favourite records in no time, thanks to a built-in phono stage, meaning it can connect to any amplifier or pair of active speakers. Plus, it has Bluetooth built-in, allowing you to stream wirelessly to Bluetooth speakers or headphones. To get the deal price here, request a price match with Amazon (AU$349) and apply your 10% My Sony discount code (AU$34.90).
