iPhone Duo: up to $1,000 off w/ trade-in + unlimited @ T-Mobile
T-Mobile is knocking up to $1,000 off the iPhone Duo when you switch and bring your number or when you trade-in an eligible phone and sign up for a qualifying plan. The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display (1,878 x 2,670) and a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR outer display (1,398 x 2,034). It houses Apple's A20 Pro chipset, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and two 24MP front cameras. Rear cameras include a 48MP main (f/1.6) and 48MP ultrawide (f/2.2). In our iPhone Duo hands-on, we said this could be the foldable phone to beat thanks to Apple's combination of polished design, robust software experience, and enhanced durability.
The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable iPhone. Mind you, it's not the first foldable smartphone (check out our list of the best foldable phones for our recommendations), but it's certainly one of the most eye catching.
In our iPhone Duo hands-on, Tom's Guide Global Editor-in-Chief Mark Spoonauer says that the iPhone Duo packs refined software and offers a very polished experience. Although it has a wide 7.6-inch main screen, you can still operate it with one hand. That inner display is also breathtaking and great for everything from gaming to streaming.
In terms of specs, the iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display (1,878 x 2,670) and a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR outer display (1,398 x 2,034). It houses Apple's A20 Pro chipset, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and two 24MP front cameras. Rear cameras include a 48MP main (f/1.6) and 48MP ultrawide (f/2.2).
The hardware is impressive on its own, but it's the iPhone Duo's software that's most impressive. Apple has redesigned all of its apps so that the controls now live on the right side instead of the bottom. Content also reacts based on how the iPhone Duo is positioned and folded. For example, with the phone half-open you'll see the Netflix controls along the bottom and the video up top.
iPhone Duo availability is rapidly selling out, so if you're even remotely interested in getting one — now is the time to preorder.
