Tom's Guide Approved - Sponsored Offer from Ecovacs

Looking to pick up a robot vacuum this Black Friday? As a robovac reviewer, these three Australian Ecovacs deals have my stamp of approval

As someone who writes regularly about cleaning-tech in its many guises, I've tested and reviewed a broad range of different Ecovacs Deebot robot vacuum cleaners over the years, many of which I've absolutely loved (you can find my musings on them over on our sister site TechRadar). Even when they were basic vacuum-only bots, I was always amazed at the innovations the company would push out with each new generation.

And despite having covered Ecovacs products for nearly 10 years, that innovation is (perhaps surprisingly!) still happening. You only need to look at the features of the latest Deebot X11 OmniCyclone to see there's some new technology here that's not available on any other robovac – fast charging and an agentic AI voice assistant, for example.

I've picked three of my favourite Ecovacs Deebot Black Friday deals below, all of which offer hands-off cleaning experiences — meaning they vacuum and mop, self-empty and self-clean — so you really only need to ensure there's clean water in the tank at all times and periodically swap out the dust bag that's housed in the dock.

Ecovacs Deebot T30S Pro
Save 68% (AU$1,350)
Ecovacs Deebot T30S Pro: was AU$1,999 now AU$649 at Amazon

This is arguably the biggest discount on a robot vacuum I've seen this sale season – 68% off is a whopper saving. For your money, you're getting good suction that's more than enough on hard floors, although the 11,000Pa here may struggle if you require deeper cleaning on carpets. It will hold its own for regular, daily vacuuming however. Mopping is easy for this machine, as is its navigation and obstacle avoidance. You also get basic voice control here.
Also available directly from Ecovacs for AU$649.

Ecovacs Deebot N30 Pro Omni
Save 58% (AU$1,101)
Ecovacs Deebot N30 Pro Omni: was AU$1,899 now AU$798 at JB Hi-Fi

This is offer (and model) is exclusively available from JB Hi-Fi in Australia, and shaves a very generous AU$1,101 off the asking price. It's not as quite powerful as the T30S Pro, but it arguably makes up for that by being a slightly more compact machine overall, much like the standard T30 Omni that I fell in love with when I tested it for TechRadar.

Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Ombi Robot Vacuum and Mop
Save 40% (AU$1,011)
Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Ombi Robot Vacuum and Mop: was AU$2,499 now AU$1,488 at The Good Guys

If you can make your budget stretch, and if you want power and performance in one package, this is the Ecovacs model I can recommend wholeheartedly. I've used this for a few months while I was reviewing it for TechRadar, and I found its carpet-cleaning prowess to be fabulous, and its roller mop is one of the best I've encountered so far. Ecovacs' Yiko voice assistant has evolved here and can handle more than just basic tasks. And when it comes to edge cleaning, none do it better. Get The Good Guys to price beat and you can save an additional AU$10.
Also available directly from Ecovacs for AU$1,499.

It might seem ironic that I think the most expensive model listed above is the one that I think is the best value right now, but that's based purely on performance on mixed flooring. The X8 Pro Omni is truly a standout.

One thing to keep in mind when purchasing any robot vacuum is that you shouldn't use them to clean up spilled liquid as part of a vacuum-and-mop session. It's a mistake I've made once too many times, and the liquid gets sucked up into the onboard bin and coats the brushes, wheels and entire undercarriage of the bot. It's then a chore to clean it up again and it could affect the machine's longevity.

You also need to factor in the recurring expense of the replacement dust bags — you'll need these every 2 to 3 months, depending on how often you clean and how much dirt is getting picked up.
