2. A Full Lunchbox: The Pulsar 590A Extras

Depending on the package you get, be it the vanilla Pulsar 590 or the 590A that we got, you will receive a lunchbox full of extras to give the Pulsar 590A that extra edge in the audio battle. First up, you get a choice of an AC adapter with stand or vanilla USB for charging. The option to use either is an excellent one, as it allows you to take the headset away from your computer and charge it on AC when necessary. You can also charge on USB when you're traveling, without the need to carry an AC adapter and stand.
Next up is a 3.5mm Bluetooth adapter, which you can use on anything from your computer to a full stereo system. Plug it in, mate it to the Pulsar, and it will transmit the sound in stereo to the headset. This is an excellent addition for sound systems, PMPs and even handheld consoles like the Sony PSP or Nintendo DS. The adapter is charged using the same system as the headset, so you can use the same USB or AC charger to juice it up.
If you traveling on an aircraft with the Pulsar 590A then you will be happy to have the aircraft adapter, which is simply a wire with two 3.5mm plugs, which when plugged into the headset, will shut off the Bluetooth and make the device acceptable for use in-flight.
Finally, all these extras are contained in a nice solid travel case. Where the extras are concerned, Plantronics gets top marks.
