Although Linksys was showing their new WPC54A 802.11a Cardbus card (also available immediately for about $113 street), they said that they are holding off on a dual-band product for awhile to see how things shake out for the early movers. They also did not show an 802.11a router, and said they had no immediate plans for one.
Other players are in the 802.11a router fight, however. SMC's Barricade 802.11a Wireless Cable/DSL Broadband Router (SMC7004AWBR-54) [
Although 802.11a USB adapters were nowhere to be found (they'll have to wait for USB2.0 with its higher speed to work its way into the installed base), SMC (DWL-A520, now, $160 street), and Proxim (Harmony 802.11a PCI Card, now, $217 street) all showed 802.11a PCI adapters so that desktops can be added to 11a WLANs.
