7. Logitech AudioStation Express: Simplicity On The Go

So-so finish

With its spare esthetics and compactness, the Logitech AudioStation Express is rather pleasing to look at. The dial on the front that adjusts the volume also serves as the on/off button. The finish leaves something to be desired and the plastics used are poorly manufactured.

Nomadic simplicity

This model has an auxiliary input for connecting other audio sources besides the iPod, and a video output. The AudioStation Express comes with a carrying case, which confirms its status as a nomadic device.

Sound that holds its own in its category

From a system in this price range, you shouldn’t expect extraordinary sound quality. The sound quickly saturates, power is lacking, and the midrange is overexploited. In short, it’s better to use this unit in an environment for which it is geared - that is, in a small space.

Pros Cons
Price Shortage of functions
Compactness Sound quality
Comes with carrying case
