Remote control with front panel display
The second package from Soundgraph is the iMON VFD, which not only includes a large remote control, but also a two-line front display panel that fits into any 5.25" drive bay. This display can show the time, system information, or even other useful information like weather data. A wide variety of plug-ins, available from the Internet, makes it possible to extend display functionality almost arbitrarily. A large volume control sits off to the right of the VFD, and also incorporates push-button mute capability.
The iMON VFD connects to the PC via USB, and comes equipped with a foot-long cable. The remote control fits well in the hand, and its button layout is organized well. Soundgraph also bundles its multimedia management software with this product, which works something like Microsoft MCE or Cyberlink PowerCinema.
