MobileMark 2005 Battery Benchmarks Conclusions
The Dell Latitude X1 with its 1.1 GHz Intel M 733 CPU performed well on the MobileMark 2005 Office Productivity performance and response time benchmarks. It did as well or better than other computers with Intel's 1.2 GHz M 753 CPU, except for Sony's VAIO VGN T350P.
The Latitude X1's standard battery has the lowest capacity, 2400 mAh, of any of the other comparable laptops. See the Features charts above. The X1's battery life scores were lower than those of the five other tested laptops. Scores ranged from 1 hour and 40 minutes for DVD playback the most demanding on battery to 2 hours and 30 minutes for the MobileMark 2005 research and reader benchmark the least demanding of the tests.
The X1's high capacity battery with double the capacity of the standard battery produced much better results on the Office Productivity battery life benchmark. Battery life more than doubled to 4 hours and 45 minutes. Office Productivity and average response time scores held at 171 and 1.42 with the high capacity battery in place.
