The remote control could stand to have a more ergonomic design.

Variable voltage range of the power supply: the player can be operated at both 115 and 230 volts.

Audio and video ports on the back: the audio signals can be output digitally (optically and with a Cinch connector) or with an analog stereo signal. Video is available via SCART, S-Video and Cinch.

Idiot-proof: after it is turned on, clear menus take the user through the settings.
