4. The TomTom Go 700's Input/Output Display

At its brightest the Go 700's display puts out 80 candelas/square meter. That's quite bright. Some laptop and notebook computers struggle to provide such brightness. Though image contrast is not adjustable, it is very good over a wide angle. This makes the display easy to see in most situations. For night viewing, you can set the device to use night colors. These are darker, more subdued colors and the screen is dimmed considerable. The night colors setting keeps the GPS from interfering with your night vision.

The touch screen on the TomTom Go 700 is very nice. Though the screen is small and some of the images you have to touch aren't gigantic and are close to other touch images, I found it easy to hit the right place on the screen almost all of the time. And, I have fairly large fingers.

It's pretty easy to hit the correct touch image even though some of them are fairly small and tightly packed
