A Complete Camera
On paper, the new Fujifilm model has it all: autofocus with face detection, an optical stabilizer, and a video mode with a resolution of 640x480 pixels at 30 frames per second. The only shortcoming is its 3x optical zoom, which is a little weak for a camera like this. The camera can even be shifted into manual mode to let the user make his own adjustments: white balance, shutter speed, and ISO sensitivity (from 100 to 6400) can be personalized.

Yes, But
All these functions don’t add up to the kind of results you’d expect. The stabilizer doesn’t perform well, the face detection function is erratic, and we’d have liked to have exposure adjustments. Still, the standard autofocus is effective and the macro mode performs very well.
