Google unveiled a new fitness tracker this week and it could easily become one of our favorite fitness trackers of all time. We're talking about the Fitbit Air, which bucks the trend of boasting a bright screen and instead opts for an all-fabric design.

Even better, it's one of the more affordable fitness trackers we've seen. For example, right now you can get the Fitbit Air for just $99 at Best Buy. That's an epic price for a device we said is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and easy to use.

The Fitbit Air is a screen-free fitness tracker that won't put a dent in your wallet. It covers all the holistic metrics you'd expect from a modern device, like heart health, sleep quality, daily movement, and workouts. Plus, it's battery will last you a full week. In our Fitbit Air review we called it our favorite new fitness tracker of 2026.

Google worked with NBA player Stephen Curry to create this special edition Fitbit Air. Unlike the traditional model, this one has a raised interior liner that increases airflow. It also features a water-resistant design, which means it should dry more quickly. Whether you're playing basketball or doing HIIT, this is the version to look at if you're working out.

At a time when most fitness trackers are competing on screen size, the Fitbit Air foregoes a display and instead opts for an all-fabric design. However, this ultra-discreet health tracker doesn't skimp on other features as it can offer 24/7 heart rate monitoring, detailed nightly sleep reports, basic fitness tracking, recovery recommendations, women's health tracking, and zero buttons.

In our Fitbit Air review my colleague Dan Bracaglia said he may never take it off after testing it for a week. He called it the best no-fuss, bang-for-your-buck, screen-less fitness tracker on the market in 2026.

There's an optional Google Health Premium subscription, which unlocks personalized AI-backed health and fitness insights, along with deeper dives into your holistic trends. It'll set you back $9.99 a month or $99 a year. However, you don't really need it as the Fitbit Air is great on its own.

There's an optional Stephen Curry model for $129. It offers a more premium, breathable, and less scratchy design than the standard knit strap Google offers. It's also quicker to dry if you're planning on putting your Fitbit Air through grueling workouts. In reality, you can't go wrong with either of the models.
