Padded Lightposts Protect Texting Pedestrians
London (England) - Wow that headline was a tongue twister. Padding has been installed around several lightposts in England after a high report of injuries from people running into them while typing away SMS messages. Lightposts on Brick Lane will be padded first and the trial could expand to other streets and cities.
According to ITN, a study found that one in ten people have hurt themselves while texting.
