3. Mobile Mini-Mouse: Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse

If you often work while on the go, but you're not too keen on either the trackpoint or touchpad, then the Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse offers you an attractive alternative. While the connecting cord for a standard mouse is approximately 1.8 meters long, the cord on a Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse only about 70 cm long, making it optimal for use with a notebook but unsuitable for a standard PC.

The mouse has the same technical specifications as Microsoft's IntelliMouse Optical, which means that it offers excellent precision when used on most surfaces.

You can easily spot the opening for the optical sensor in the middle. It wouldn't have made sense to put a trackball in a mouse of this size anyway, since there's hardly any room.

Compared to a Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical, the Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse is significantly smaller. Because of its small size, it is more comfortable and natural to operate it with the thumb and three fingers, rather than grasping it with the entire hand.
