16. MP3 Encoding: Lame

In this test, the Lame MP3 encoder encodes a 178 MB WAV file into MP3 format. The time the processor needs for encoding is measured.

Once again, the results confirm the superiority of the Pentium-M. However, the low-voltage Athlon XP-M plugs along respectably, considering its architecture.
