3. Both More And Less

The Zen Vision can't record, and that's undoubtedly its biggest weakness. On the other hand, it has the best TV output I've ever seen on a portable player. It's truly excellent, and the cable is supplied. Another bonus is the Vision's inclusion of a quality FM tuner that operates only with the earphones, whose wires serve as the antenna. There's also a calendar/address book function you can synchronize with your PC using the transfer software. But in my opinion, that falls into the category of bells and whistles.

Finally, there's a Compact Flash slot that lets you insert the memory card from your camera directly. For other card formats, you'll have to buy an adapter. Today, a USB OTG port, compatible with most cameras, would be the preferable choice.

The interface is really very pretty, thanks to the high resolution. Navigation is relatively ergonomic, but there's still a bit of a learning curve. The controls, grouped together to the right of the screen, are very practical to use - especially the touchpad.
