Best Eight Sleep mattress sales and deals for March: bargains on the smartest beds around

An Eight Sleep mattress sale or deal will help you save on one of of these ultra hi-tech mattress covers. These covers don't come cheap and offers aren't super-common, so it's worth taking advantage when they do crop up.

Right now, there's $50 off any Eight Sleep cover (or £50 off if you're shopping in the UK), including the Pod 3 covers and previous-gen Pod 2 cover. This has coincided with a drop in MSRP on the 3rd gen version in the US, meaning that although it's not the biggest discount we've seen, it is a low price on that model. If you're looking to add smart features to your mattress, this is a great time to do it. Eight Sleep deals don't tend to stick around too long, so it's worth taking advantage of these offers while they're still live.

Eight Sleep's mattress covers contain a network of tubes that provide dual-zoned heating or cooling to your exact preferences. (That could be a life-saver this summer – most of today's best cooling mattress models rely on passive temperature regulation; this is one of very few mattresses to offer active cooling.) You'll also benefit from integrated sleep and health tracking via a companion app, to help you recognize your sleep patterns and learn how to maximize your rest time for recovery. You can unlock extra data and features with a subscription, although that does cost extra.

The Eight Sleep cover has a permanent spot in our best smart bed ranking – there are very few products on the market that have anything like the capabilities of the Eight Sleep. Note: the mattress itself isn't included, so if you need one of those, head to our best mattress guide for our top picks. It's also worth noting that the Labor Day mattress sales are on their way, and Eight Sleep will sometimes bump up its discounts to $100/£100 off over shopping events like that (no guarantees though). Let's take a closer look at the Eight Sleep mattress deals you can shop right now...

The Eight Sleep Pod 3 cover offers advanced sleep tracking, insights to help you improve your sleep habits, and that all-important dual-zone cooling and heating. Essentially, it provides the level of insight you'd get from a wearable, except you don't have to wear it. The regular version sits 10-11" mattresses, or you can upgrade to the PerfectFit version if your mattress is deeper than that. There's a 30-night trial and free returns.

Eight Sleep Pod 2 cover: $1,895$1,845 at Eight Sleep

The Eight Sleep Pod 2 has pretty much the same features as the 3 (dual-zone cooling and heating to your exact preferences, advanced sleep tracking and insights). However, but the performance may not be quite as slick – for the 3, Eight Sleep improved the Wi-Fi and upgraded to a quad-core CPU. This version will only fit up to an 11" mattress.

In the UK, there's £100 off the Pod 3 cover. This fits on top of your existing bed and delivers dual-zone cooling and heating as well as in-depth sleep and health tracking. If your mattress is deeper than 28cm, you'll need to upgrade to the version with PerfectFit, which costs a bit more. It's available in <a href="https://www.tomsguide.com/features/double-bed-size-how-big-is-a-double-bed" data-link-merchant="tomsguide.com"" data-link-merchant="eightsleep.com"">double, king and <a href="https://www.tomsguide.com/features/king-bed-size" data-link-merchant="tomsguide.com"" data-link-merchant="tomsguide.com"" data-link-merchant="eightsleep.com"">super king sizes.

Eight Sleep Pod 2 Cover: £1,845£1,745 at Eight Sleep

Eight Sleep Pod 2 Cover: <a href="https://eight-sleep.ioym.net/c/221109/607198/9942?subId1=hawk-custom-tracking&sharedId=hawk&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eightsleep.com%2Fuk%2Fproduct%2Fpod-cover%2F" data-link-merchant="eightsleep.com"" target="_blank" rel="sponsored">was £1,845 now from £1,745 at Eight Sleep
The Pod 2 offers most of the same core features as the 3 – individualized cooling and heating, health and sleep tracking and insights, and a vibration alarm. For 3, Eight Sleep improved the Wi-Fi connectivity and upgraded to a quad-core CPU, so you won't necessarily be getting the smoothest, slickest experience if you opt for the cheaper 2. Note: if your mattress is deeper that 28cm, you'll need to upgrade to the PerfectFit Pod 3 cover.

Which Eight Sleep mattress should you buy?

The Eight Sleep range consists of the Pod 2 Pro, the Pod 3 and the Pod 3 Max.

The Eight Sleep Pod 2 Pro is the cheapest of the three, starting from $2,695 in full. It replaces the Eight Sleep Pod as the brand's 11-inch entry-level model, although the name suggests that it's a successor to the Pod Pro. The Pod 2 Pro consists of four foam layers (compared to the Original Pod's three), including a 1-inch ComfortBlend topper.

The Eight Sleep Pod 3 is normally priced from $3,095. This 5-layer, 12-inch mattress boasts a quad-core CPU that'll enable it to respond faster to changes in your sleep patterns, along with twice the number of sensors of the Pod Pro for a more comprehensive tracking of your overall health. The wireless standard here has also been revamped, now featuring 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi support.

The Eight Sleep Pod 3 Max shares the Pod 3's features but it also adds a MaxChill layer consisting of silver, copper and graphite to quickly dissipate excess heat. Thus, it's the best choice for someone who is seeking an excellent cooling mattress to help regulate their body temperature overnight. It's also the most expensive Eight Sleep mattress yet, with a full starting at $3,595.

The cheapest Eight Sleep mattress, with dual zone cooling and heating

Sizes: 4 (full to Cal king) | Depth: 11 inches | Filling: Foam | Turn: No | Trial: 100 days | Guarantee: 10 years (foam), 2 years (technology layer) | MSRP: $2,695 – $3,395

Now features a ComfortBlend topper
Dual-zone cooling and heating
Built-in GentleRise alarm
Not suitable for adjustable beds

The Pod 2 Pro is Eight Sleep's new entry-level model, replacing The Pod. Instead of three foam layers, the Pod 2 Pro consists of four – which includes a 1-inch ComfortBlend topper for maximum pressure-point relief. Construction of the Pod 2 Pro is otherwise the same as The Original Pod, with two inches of relief foam, a 4-inch contouring core and a 4-inch base layer.

The Pod 2 Pro comes in four sizes: Full, Queen, King, and Cal King - all of which will work on slatted or metal frames, as well as box spring or platform bases. Like its previous entry-level bed, the Pod 2 Pro has dual-zone cooling and heating tech so co-sleepers who share a bed can make their side as hot or cold as they need it. There's also the GentleRise alarm that gradually wakes you using chest-level vibration and adjusting the temperature.

Everything can be controlled via the Eight Sleep app. Meanwhile, sign up for the 8+ Pro subscription service (from $15/month) for added features like automatic temperature adjustment, access to a library of sleep aids and digital coaching.

Twice as many sensors as other Pods
Updated Wi-Fi standards

Still no twin or twin XL sizes

The Eight Sleep Pod 3 mattress was just released in July. According to the brand, this is the 'ultimate sleep fitness machine’ that can improve sleep quality by up to 32% and deep sleep by up to 34%.

So what does the Pod 3 have over its predecessors? For starters, it has twice the number of sensors as previous Pod models for more accurate recordings of key vitals – heart rate and body temperature, to name a couple. Meanwhile, the accompanying hub boasts a quad-core CPU and Wi-Fi 5, which'll allow the Pod 3 to respond faster to changes in your sleep pattern and provide a more stable wireless connection.

Of course, the Pod 3 still includes features that have made Eight Sleep's smart mattresses among the best on the market – dual-zone temperature control, GentleRise Alarm, and personalized health reports so you can monitor the state of your sleep.

3. Eight Sleep Pod 3 Max mattress deals

Eight Sleep's most advanced mattress yet

Sizes: 4 (full to Cal king) | Depth: 13 inches | Filling: Foam | Turn: No | Trial: 100 nights | Guarantee: 10-year limited warranty | MSRP: $3,695 - $4,395

4,000x sensor resolution
Extra MaxChill layer for cooling
Dual thermoregulation
It's very expensive

Welcome to the most advanced Eight Sleep smart mattress yet, the Pod 3 Max. Like the Pod 3, the Pod 3 Max boasts a quad-core CPU and Wi-Fi 5 so your sleep data is quickly recorded and reported. It also has 4,000x sensor resolution compared to previous Pod models so every key vital is tracked.

What makes the Pod 3 Max stand out, however, are its temperature regulation features. It's an inch thicker than the Pod 3 thanks to an added MaxChill Layer infused with silver, copper and graphite for optimal heat dissipation. There's also dual thermoregulation, which will allow you to set up personalized temperatures for each phase of the night on either side of the bed.

We'd recommend you check out the Eight Sleep Pod 3 Max if overheating is your primary concern as its temperature regulation features are the best the brand has rolled out yet.

Eight Sleep Black Friday deals: what you need to know

This year we've seen Eight Sleep offers that beat last year's best Eight Sleep Black Friday deal. In January, there was a $300 discount on the Pod - that's a bigger discount than Black Friday, when we saw $250 off, plus 20% off Eight Sleep accessories. Meanwhile, the Black Friday before (2019), there was an Eight Sleep discount of $100 on the mattresses, plus a free Amazon Echo Dot.

For Black Friday 2022 Eight Sleep took an impressive $500 off the Pod 3 mattress, which was quite a bit more than were expecting; there was also $250 off the Pod 3 cover, a more affordable way to get those Eight Sleep benefits without buying a whole new mattress.

Black Friday 2023 is a long way off now, but we'll be tracking the Black Friday mattress deals and Cyber Monday mattress deals as they happen, and bringing you all the best offers – and the Eight Sleep discount codes you need to claim them – right here.
