More Details on Curiosity: Prize is Not Money or Half-Life 3

By - Source: Eurogamer

Peter Molyneux drops a few hints in regards to what will... or won't be the prize in Curiosity.

Peter Molyneux's always been a little overly ambitious about the titles he ships, to the point that some of the claims he makes about his games are… blown a little bit out of proportion. So naturally, when Molyneux declares that the prize inside 22Can's new project Curiosity is "life-changing", everyone's a little cautious about what he means.

Well then, what's inside the box?

Molyneux dropped a few hints at Eurogamer Expo in regards to the "prize" that's hidden inside the virtual box. It's apparently not "a huge pile of money"—so think twice before you decide to drop a couple thousand on that special pickaxe—nor is it a sports car, a dead cat, or the highly sought after Half-Life 3. However, no doubt about it, he reaffirms that it will "change your life forever."

He also disclosed a few more details about the gameplay. Rather than just endlessly tapping away at a cube, each layer that players tap through will reveal other surprises, such as mini-games. Overall, the goal of 22Can's experimental projects, starting with Curiosity, will provide the data for 22Can's next big project.

Curiosity has already been submitted to the Apple app store and is pending approval. Though no release date has been given, you can probably expect the game to be showing up in the next few weeks.

You can watch Molyneux's presentation on Curiosity at Eurogamer Expo 2012 in its entirety here.

There will be a box in the middle with nothing in it.

"Learning to work together with your fellow man is the greatest prize of all!"

It will be the self-destruct button that will kill every copy of Windows 8 on the planet.
